Born in 1968 in Bucharest, Romania. Engineer degree in 1993, in Aerospace Engineering, Propulsion Systems from the Polytechnic University in Bucharest, Romania. Ph. D. in 2006 in Aerospace Engineering, Computational Combustion from Georgia Institute of Technolgy in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Employed at the Romanian National Research and Development Institute for Gas Turbines COMOTI since 2006. Author of one book, co-author of two Romania invention patents, author and co-author of over 50 scientific papers. Project coordinator in two European research projects, and partner responsbile in another four. Expert evaluater for the European Commission in the FP7, Horizon 2020, and CleanSky 2 programmes. Vice-president of the Scientific Council of COMOTI. COMOTI’s Best Researcher award in 2018. Research interests: numerical an experimental combustion, detonation, Hydrogen combustion, high speed aerodynamics, optimization algorithms.
