Dr Alborzi obtained his MEng degree in the field of Chemical Processing Engineering from University of Petroleum and Gas, Ploiesti, Romania and a PhD in the field aviation fuel thermal degradation from the University of Sheffield. He is a senior research fellow in Energy 2050, UK’s largest energy research institutes, at the University of Sheffield. His main area of research encompasses aviation fuel chemistry and technical suitability of alternative aviation fuel. He has been the investigator of several European and national research programmes in the field of alternative aviation fuel. Dr Alborzi is a member of Environmentally Compatible Air Transport System(ECATS), the European Network of Excellence for research into the impact of air transport on the environment.
